专辑简介
To mark the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel\’s birth and one year after the passing of Seiji Ozawa, an exclusive, numbered audiophile vinyl edition is being released. This collection comprises four LPs of Ravel\’s orchestral works, performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Ozawa\’s direction. The maestro, who led the BSO between 1973 and 2002, left behind an outstanding artistic legacy with these recordings. The renowned Emil Berliner Studios have remastered the original recordings—primarily from 8-track tapes, with the exception of one LP side, which was recorded on 4-track tape. This reissue, released on March 7, 2025, presents Ravel\’s orchestral music in remarkable sound quality and pays tribute to the significant musical partnership between Ozawa and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
