冰岛作曲家约翰・约翰逊（Jóhann Jóhannsson）英年早逝，却留给世界如此动人的声音，每部作品都映照出他美丽、温柔而略带忧郁的灵魂。钢琴家爱丽丝・纱良・奥特特意远赴他的故乡，在制作人兼录音师 Bergur Þórisson 家中一架老式立式钢琴上录制了这张专辑。这架钢琴音色细腻，如奥特所说，能唤起人们心中的“某种怀旧感，像是在追忆那些已然逝去的事物”。
