罗莎·塔玛尔齐娜(Rosa Tamarkina),1920年出生于基辅,早年进入基辅音乐学院师从郭尔德堡(N.M.Goldberg)。1932年入选莫斯科音乐学院主导的\”青少年精英培训团\”,成为全国选拔的12名音乐神童之一(含4位小提琴手与8位钢琴家),同期成员包括吉列斯兄妹。后师从莫斯科音乐学院教授亚历山大·戈登威泽深造,并跟随叶夫根尼·戈卢别夫学习作曲。
1950年7月,26岁的塔玛尔齐娜在莱比锡巴赫国际音乐比赛中获得第一名。其卓越演奏直接启发作曲家肖斯塔科维奇(时任赛事评委)创作《24首前奏曲与赋格》Op.87,该关联性在1974年访谈中得到本人确认。1991年发行的该作品完整版专辑中,她通过踏板调整与终止式延迟等细腻处理展现了独特的艺术诠释。
