《Physical Graffiti》是 Led Zeppelin 创立自己的唱片公司 Swan Song 之后发行的第一张专辑，跨越多年的录制，多样风格的涵盖，Led Zeppelin 勃勃的野心和喷涌的才华依然在这份双张专辑中显露无疑。 在此张专辑中，乐队除了标志性的硬摇滚根基之外，还开创性地触及到前卫摇滚、Funk、民谣、灵魂乐等元素，更有《Kashmir》这样饱含东方元素影响的管弦乐大作。另外专辑封面的设计也值得一提，封面中的公寓楼位于纽约曼哈顿第八大道，外层封套的窗户做了镂空处理，露出内层专辑名称 “Physical Graffiti” 的拼写，这栋大楼一直以来都成为摇滚乐迷熟知的朝圣地。《Physical Graffiti》是一份满意的超额答卷，其后的五年乐队历尽坎坷，毒瘾、疾病、事故、纠纷，创作、录制和演出质量大受影响，最终因鼓手 John Bonham 的意外去世而沉痛解散，这张专辑如绝唱一般，让无数乐迷铭记了一个伟大的 70 年代。
