专辑收录由德国钢琴家马汀.史岱费尔德(Martin Stadtfeld)亲自改编并演奏的亨德尔作品,包括选自歌剧《林纳多》、《凯萨大帝》、《塞尔西》、《所罗门》之咏叹调,以及《E大调组曲》(HWV 430)与《D小调》组曲(HWV 437)。
自首张专辑 – 巴赫「哥德堡变奏曲」发行以来,接连发行的数张专辑均攻占德国古典音乐的排行榜,史岱费尔德无疑是当今德国乐界最成功的钢琴家之一。不仅以巴赫作品获得肯定,其莫扎特、舒伯特、门德尔颂与贝多芬作品录音均获得媒体的大力赞扬。
